A name is a start. A reference gives it a face.

“Ilyr at the shrine” leaves a lot to interpretation. A portrait of Ilyr, artwork for Moss Crown Wood, and a few clear profile details give Viscanon something more specific to work with.

Build the pieces you’ll reuse. You don’t need to fill out your entire world before making the next image.

Start with the people and places that matter

For a Character: add visible traits and a public biography. Upload or generate a portrait. Mark player characters as Party member.

For a Location: add a public description and the visual details that make it recognisable. Give Moss Crown its ancient trees, moss-covered stonework, and sunlight through the ruined arch. Upload artwork you want to use as its visual reference.

Give a Character a reference sheet

Open the Character’s Edit artwork pencil button, then Reference Sheet. Check the displayed credit cost, then choose Generate reference sheet to create a complete sheet from the current portrait. Review it, then choose Approve this sheet.

The approved sheet becomes the Character’s reference for future artwork. Their portrait stays unchanged. You can add whole-sheet or individual-panel feedback before generating another complete sheet.

This illustrated Ilyr sample shows the nine views in a reference sheet.

Connect the next moment

A Location is the place. A Scene is a specific situation there. A Character is someone in the world. A Memory captures what happened.

Link the ruined-shrine Scene to Moss Crown Wood and choose its characters. For a Memory, select the available scene and character references that belong in the moment. Check the cast before generating.

THE NEW DIRECTION

Ilyr raises her bow as a wyvern sweeps over the ruined shrine.

Let the references carry the familiar details. Use your description for what’s happening now.
Adventurers, including a green-cloaked archer, confront a fire-breathing wyvern over a sunlit woodland shrine.

Use style references deliberately

Uploaded campaign and entry artwork can help guide location and scene style; artwork marked Official is prioritised. Use that label for published adventure art. Character generation uses relevant character references rather than unrelated campaign pictures.
